Definition (Myers): A mental grouping of similar objects, events, ideas or people.
Definition (alternative): a cognitive unit of meaning— an abstract idea or a mental symbol sometimes defined as a "unit of knowledge," built from other units which act as a concept's characteristics. A concept is typically associated with a corresponding representation in a language or symbology such as a word. link
Contextual explanation: A concept is a mentally grouped things, such as ideas and behavior. Similar concepts seem to form between the environments, for example, families or friends have similar concepts to each other. In Korea, people use the word 'concept' to describe one's characteristics.
