Term: Extrasensory Perception (ESP)
Definition (Myers): The controversial claim that perception can occur apart from sensory input – said to include telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition 1
Definition (alternative): A special sense beyond vision, hearing, smell, touch and taste. Unlike ordinary senses, ESP has virtually unlimited range, and it's experienced mainly as thoughts rather than bodily sensations.2
Contextual explanation: The perception of estimating or predicting through unknown senses we have. It is not a rare phenomenon and we experience it in our daily lives. It's when one, somehow, already knows that specific event was going to happen in that exact moment.
