BEST CLASS EVER
Your task is to use your educational expertise to create and deliver BEST CLASS EVER. Each group has been assigned one of the remaining chapters from our textbook. You must become experts on the concepts presented in your assigned chapter. You will then have one class to teach those concepts to the rest of class.
Since you do not have time to teach every single concept from your assigned chapter, you must focus on the most important ideas. If you are unsure, check out the various AP review books for some hints. You are encouraged to draw on any resources to help with the planning and presentation of your lesson.
On the day of your BEST CLASS EVER, the class will be yours for the entire class period. You may design the lesson however you choose: lecture, video (found and self-made), worksheets, games, quizzes, homework, etc. As long as it is school appropriate, you can do it.
For the purposes of this task, the BEST CLASS EVER is defined as the most educational lesson ever. The goal is to have your classmates leaving class saying, "That was the best lesson ever! I learned more in this one class period than I have in any other class period in my entire life." This does not mean that you must cram everything into that one class period. You should decide on the most important concepts and teach those extremely well.
SCORING and TEAMWORK:
The BEST CLASS EVER will count as a test. You will be graded on the overall effectiveness of your lesson. Each team will receive the same base score for the lesson. This base score may be adjusted to reflect an individual's contributions to the team's product. Part of the score will be determined by the evaluations of your classmates, both within your group and those you taught. Details coming soon.
