Twin Studies (D)

Twins1twins 2

Summary:

Twins are divided into two main categories: Identical twins and Fraternal twins.
Identical twins are twins that develop from a single fertilized egg that splits in two, while fraternal twins are twins that develop from two separate eggs. While identical twins look and act pretty much the same, fraternal twins are not similar to each other than any other siblings.
Studies have shown that identical twins share the same genetics, and therefore, similar personalities, similar habits, behaviors, and etc. Identical twins that have been separated from birth were almost identical, even after many years of separation. They are nature's genetic clones. Although the environment determines how a person grows and what personality he or she develops, identical twins are almost definitively the same.
